Another fun night with the girls! Something funny about this night, though. About 20 minutes into a chick flick, our power went out. But when we looked out the window, we could see lights coming from next door. Turns out, we had forgotten to buy more power!!! In Botswana, instead of receiving a monthly electric bill there is a box mounted inside the house which controls the power. When you need more power (as indicated by a screen on the box), you go to the local gas station and give them your code and buy more power. They give you a receipt with another code which you type into the box and "bam" more power. So, we had to go to the store and buy power in the middle of our "girls' night party." Always something exciting in Palapye!
