More From MLC

Today was our first day with actual meetings and sessions. Tomorrow we begin classes and all of the CESA (Central, Eastern and Southern Africa) people have dinner with our Richmond Associates. Hopefully we will be finding out more about our assignments. Either way, we are excited to get together and talk about the CESA region.

I was doing my devotion this morning and the month of November (in my devo book) is focused on compassion. It talked about how desensitized we (in America) have become to suffering because of the violence and tragedy we see so graphically everyday on the news and television shows, etc. Just this past Sunday, my pastor talked about the very same topic in Sunday School. We become so used to seeing senseless murder and rape and other terrible things that when we are faced with it actually going on in the world it is hard for us to be as affected by it as we should be. What a wake up call. I'm thankful for our time here at MLC to separate ourselves from these things that have desensitized us. Check out 1 Peter 3:8 where we are reminded to be compassionate and humble!

PRAY FOR THE TSWANA PEOPLE OF BOTSWANA AND THE MISSIONARIES THERE!

Now, check out some cool photos from our first days at MLC.
